An experiment that went well. Shattered is made of wool, knitted and embroidered. Beads adorn the vessel while the 'shards' of broken pieces are enhanced by gold foil threads inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi.

The base of this vessel is mohair which gives a lovely translucent quality.  Mohair and boucle yarns embellish the outside with a flourish of beads that add to the mystery of this vessel.

Designed with my dear friend, Doug McDaniel in mind, this vessel incorporates more masculine beadwork as well as a sturdy base.  It lives in Barcelona.

This little fellow is adorable.  Standing only 4 inches tall he's pretty mighty with a small light in his belly.  A tea light fits perfectly for a nightlight or ambiance.
